Malaga - a last bit of sunshine

The final stop on the road trip was Malaga… …which, which until now I’ve only thought of as an airport. However, it has lovely gardens… …harbour side… …castle… …cathedral… …and old town. There is also the bonus… …of the Picasso Museum.

Cádiz - a quick trip to the seaside

  A quick trip to one of the oldest cities in Spain… …the port of Cádiz… …lovely to see the sea… …a unit of a cathedral… …a pretty old town… …and a fabulous… ….food market. Yum…and… …yum again.

Two days in Séville

Two days in beautiful Séville… ….stunning architecture… …reflecting… … …a long and varied history. Lovely weather…   …and so much to see.

Mérida in the rain

Ah Mérida you promised so much… …with your rich Roman and Visigoth history. Sadly the rain, and a public holiday… …meant that we could only glimpse most of the treasures through the fence. Serves me right for visiting Spain at Epiphany I guess…

Cordoba

I’ve wanted…. …to visit… …Cordoba for a long time. I’m glad to say… …that it really… …doesn’t… …disappoint. I count myself very lucky… …to have had… …the opportunity… …to drink in it’s beauty.

Return to Ronda

The last few months have been a bit rough on the health front, so it’s been a delight to be on my travels again. First stop was glorious Ronda, staying in a hotel with it’s own cinema. A fantastic pizza was had… ….Christmas lights were admired… …a sunset revelled in… …but Ronda is all about the gorge (and bullfighting, Hemlingway and Orson Welles)… …and the amazing bridges. And a very poetic carpark.
