How do you pack a garden?

The die has been cast and I've handed my resignation in at work, and it looks like my house will be let from the end of November....which means the PACKING.

I mentioned to a friend that I needed to sort out the garden. "How on earth do you pack a garden?" he queried. The answer is like this...

Basically, I'm a fuchsia addict, and the tender ones need to be inside during the colder weather. I won't be able to bed them down in my greenhouse, so I'm sending them off to nestle in my Dad's. It was strange ti think that I probably won't see them flower next year, as I'll be on the other sidee of the world.

Return to Ronda

The last few months have been a bit rough on the health front, so it’s been a delight to be on my travels again. First stop was glorious Ronda, staying in a hotel with it’s own cinema. A fantastic pizza was had… ….Christmas lights were admired… …a sunset revelled in… …but Ronda is all about the gorge (and bullfighting, Hemlingway and Orson Welles)… …and the amazing bridges. And a very poetic carpark.

Corbigny past and present

Itˋs still too damn hot, but I managed a trip out to Corbigny, where there is a lovely toy shop… …interesting mediaeval bits and pieces… …fun shop signs… …a great place to drink coffee and watch the world go by… …suitably mad French cars… …and baffling street furniture… …and a chilling reminder that not that long ago, people like you and me were taken away and annihilated. Remember them, never forget, never again.

Austria at last

In a fit of madness… …I agreed to accompany my Aged Mother on a coach trip to Austria. After two days on the coach… …we have finally arrived <phew>.
